    Why should I be part of a Life Group? How will I benefit from it?

    Life Group provides an avenue for you to stay connected with others who share the same desire to grow in their faith. The best way for you to connect to our spiritual family and start getting involved is by joining Life Group, whether you are a believer for a long time or you are new to the church.

    Life Group is more than just the casual “Hi” and “Hello” on Sunday mornings. It seeks to build a community that connects regularly, cultivates authentic relationships, and carries out the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Who can join a Life Group?

    Anyone! Life Group provides an avenue through which your faith in God and relationship with other believers can be cultivated. Anyone who wishes to connect, interact, or build Christ-centered friendships at Hope Yorkshire Church may join a Life Group. Anyone who desires spiritual growth or is interested to know more about God and about the Christian life can join a Life Group.

    What goes in on a Life Group?

    Life Group provides an avenue for learning and change through Bible study, fellowship, and prayer. Groups meet regularly to study God’s Word, to pray for each other, and to learn how to apply the Word of God to the different issues and challenges of life. Life Group also seeks to cultivate a culture where we can be sensitive to how God is working in each other’s lives in a safe, confidential, and transparent environment while developing friendships that value care, understanding, encouragement, and accountability.

    How often and how long do Life Groups meet?

    Most groups meet online or physical at least once a week for about 1-2 hours, at a time and place agreed upon by the group. However, we understand that it may not work for everyone. We recommend meeting at least once a month to encourage accountability and consistency.
